Organizational Management Development
The quality of an organizations’ management is one of the key factors in the company’s success. Managers face daily challenges. Whether supervising and motivating people; managing projects or meeting company targets, executives often require professional guidance or assistance, enabling them to meet the challenges involved.
Examples of training programs:
- Interfacing between cross functional units that speak “different languages”
Engineers; Medical Professionals; Researchers and Developers; Biologists and any other professionals in units within the organization all have a joint company goal. However, the path to comprehending this and more importantly, conducting work processes that actively reflect this understanding, is often long and complicated. The offered professional accompanying is based upon three to four three-hour sessions in which we’ll work on:
-
Clarification of the added value of the organizational interface:
What is the organizational output that only joint activity can produce?
- The task axis:
Which is the worthwhile way or should be the way, to work together in order to achieve the required output. (What presently works well / doesn’t work well between the interfacing units.)
What we as people bring to our job function when working with the interface and how to develop open communication.
- Organizational interface “maintenance” mechanisms
- Training for first-time managers
Entering a management position for the first time is an important stage within the manager’s career as well as within the company’s management team.
This training program aims to provide new managers with a “management toolbox”. This set of management tools paves the way to a smoother and shorter transition from employee to manager, both in mindset and in actions.
- Cross functional management training
Cross functional management involves leading processes involving different departments across the organization, where conflicts of interest may arise. A cross-functional manager is required to lead and carry responsibility, but not necessarily given the authority to match. This complex work environment requires an array of communication and control skills, combined with effective management in the required “grey areas”.
This training program is aimed to providing cross-functional managers with the skills to effectively manage processes within this challenging organizational environment.
- People management as a project – dilemmas and tools
A project, virtually by definition, provokes pressure, complex environments and conflicts of interest. A deeper understanding of the organizations’ dynamics, educated planning and excellent inter-personal skills are important factors when managing dilemmas, especially in the project environment. Here, the need for motivation skills is especially high, due to lack of formal management authority.
This program aims at improving and perfecting management abilities, subordinate and colleague motivation skills and project interface management expertise in project environments.
